Our "Small" jars are stamped 1/8 ounce on the bottom. And indeed, they are 1/8 ounce if you only fill them to the beginning of the very first fill line of the neck. But if you fill them to *almost* the top, they are 1/4 ounce, and if you fill them to the very brim, they are very slightly over 1/4 ounce. We typically fill them to where they are about 1/5 ounce, which is slightly less than half of what our 1/2 ounce jars contain. You can see that in the picture comparison above. So, how big should we call the jars? We skirted the problem completely, simply by calling the jars "Small".
